A Fundraising Partnership with CHEO Foundation

1,000 Books for CHEO Foundation

We’re excited to launch 1,000 Books for CHEO Foundation, a new fundraising partnership supporting youth mental health.

Inspired by Edwin’s own experience with worry and anxiety, The Boy Who Feared the Ice was created to help kids feel less alone when facing big feelings and new challenges. Through this campaign, we’re working to sell 1,000 books, with proceeds supporting CHEO Foundation and the important work they do for children, youth, and families in our community.

How It Works

Buy Books From Our Site or at an Event

We will donate net profits to the CHEO Foundation. If you do not want a book, you can purchase a copy and leave a note asking us to donate it to CHEO.

Buying More Than 10 Books?

If you are buying 10 or more books and are local to Ottawa, Edwin will hand deliver them in his mascot costume.

Why It Matters

Edwin’s story helps kids understand their fears when starting something new and shows them that trying can actually be fun. By partnering with CHEO, we are able to double our impact and help even more kids. The book is perfect for kids ages 3–10, and it is also great for waiting rooms and restaurants to keep kids engaged and off screens.
